But, after reading his article, could 'Spending Plan Funding' perhaps be replaced by 'Turning-the-Corner Fantasies?'

The joke was in how Arabs would rather hurt someone else than help themselves. They also tend to be consumed by jealousy and envy.
Envy really is toxic. I'm sure lots of Arabs suffer from it, but not all of them do, and they aren't the only people with that weakness. Remember.that Arab is not synonymous with Muslim.
Some Arabs follow Christ, and are not consumed with envy. Some other Arabs are Muslim (and denying Christ they are cut off from The Father), but are still kind, generous, and generally decent people.

I know that you know all that, so I apologize if I'm being too sensitive. Ethnic/racial/and religious jokes can be fun, but I don't want to unnecessarily offend people.

The Koran actually recognizes Yeshua as a great prophet. I think you might have them confused with the group that wrote the talmud.

Best policy ever is to judge by fruits....still some jokes that use general observed tendencies in groups or religious denominations are funny. Imo.

The problem with wokeness is that it is going to be the death of laughter. No group of people deserves to have everyone else walking on eggshells around them. If there weren't a pretty good-sized kernel of truth in a joke, it wouldn't even be funny. If anyone doesn't like that people laugh about the stereotypes that apply to them, then it's really incumbent upon them to eliminate the stereotype by changing the behavior. One might notice, for example, that Pollack jokes pretty much vanished into thin air when the Poles gained worldwide respect for how they fought off the Soviet Union.

Much of the English-speaking world tells jokes about Irishmen. We lived in Ireland for some time, and I was surprised and amused to find that the Irish tell exactly the same jokes, but instead of an "Irishman" they substitute a "Kerryman" - a person from one specific region of Ireland that is the butt of all their jokes. Humour is universal.

An Irishman walked into a bar, with a crocodile on a leash. He asked the barman "Do you serve Catholics here?". The barman said "Of course we serve Catholics.". The man replied "Good. I'll have a beer for me, and a couple of Catholics for my crocodile."

:D:D Excellent example!

Regarding the Poles fighting off the Soviet Union, are you talking about the solidarity movement of the 1980s, leading to the end of communism in Poland? They certainly didn't gain any respect for fighting off the Soviets (or Germans) in the early 1940s.

If you are talking about the end of communism, I think that is a good point. When I was a kid (in the 1980s) pollack jokes were very common, but you never hear them now.

Regarding jokes based on stereotypes, it is true that there is usually a good deal of truth to the stereotype, and that is what makes the joke funny. We all enjoy that, and Arabs do have a reputation as being quarrelsome people (much like Americans have a reputation for obesity, or for loving guns. We can joke about all that.

Maybe this is the thing that concerns me. I think many Americans (particularly right leaning people such as myself) tend to blame Arabs and or Muslims for the unending violence we see in the Middle East.

Arabs and/or Muslims certainly bear much of the blame. I believe Israel/Zionists also bear a significant amount of the blame. Furthermore,.the United States (via the CIA, DARPA, etc.) also bears much of the blame.

Why didn't you get offended that "not all American's love money"? Or that others bear "much of the blame for their decades long campaign to propagandize American's into consumerism"?

I'll agree with you that the followers of Islam are closer to the Kingdom of God than the followers of the Talmud. The Talmud hates Christ, and the Koran recognizes Him as a prophet.

Judaism explicitly rejects Christ, while Islam is more ignorant/misguided about Christ.

Still, calling Yeshua merely a prophet falls short of the Kingdom. All things were made by Him and for Him.

Good point.

I guess I just don't think the premise of the joke is actually accurate (even as a stereotype).

"The joke was in how Arabs would rather hurt someone else than help themselves. They also tend to be consumed by jealousy and envy."

I don't think that is typically true. Then again, I don't know a ton of Arabs.

It is interesting that society permits us to make fun of certain racial/cultural/religious stereotypes.

Making fun of rural white Christian males is strongly encouraged.

Making fun of Muslims is sometimes encouraged.

Making fun of Mexicans or Native Americans is mildly frowned upon.

At the same time, making fun of Jewish people or Black people is "horrible", and can never be tolerated.

There is strong scientific evidence that Black Africans have far lower average IQs than other races.

Likewise, African American males (some but not all) commit a vastly disproportionate percentage of the crime in the USA.

In addition, many people of Jewish background (some but not all) are actively working to subvert Western Civilization. Hollywood, central banking, Marxism, feminism, etc.

Nobody is allowed to talk about that stuff.

It's not the Amish and the Mennonites killing everyone over there. Not that you want to mess with the Amish!

You are right. It isn't the Amish. It is the global oligarchs. The same people pushing the covid nonsense push sodomy, the deep state, transgender kids, Hollywood, feminism, Marxism, the military industrial complex, Antifa, BLM, and unending war.

I personally prefer the Amish life (with an exception for electricity and imputed righteousness).

This guy is funny....and makes that point.
What happens when you criticize...
I love barricade garage. That dude is very funny. He did a great interview with Owen Benjamin a few weeks ago. Benjamin is probably the least politically correct comedian out there (and he openly says the Bible allows polygyny).

Unfortunately, he does rant sometimes, but I still like him.

Having to run a red light because there was a cop behind me on his way to an emergency is terrifying. I know he didn't care about me. I know he was stuck behind traffic. I know there was a major emergency he was responding to. It's still very very wrong to run a red light at all, especially with a cop behind me! Just feels weird.

And also, are all teenagers speaking in text language now?! 2 girls in the dressing room next to me saying 'l o l' and 'o g'.
"I'm going for the o g dress."
"L o l, I knew you'd do that!"
