And there it is: White Knights choke by arguing about rules while what should have been a double got maneuvered into a home run by the Red Queens during the first tat-bat in the bottom of the 10th. Center fielder was so cocky believing he'd caught the deep fly ball that he refrained from throwing his 'catch' into the infield long enough to inspire the runner to start back up again and make it to 3rd. Outfield ump had already declared the catch invalid because the ball was insufficiently lodged in the glove before making contact with the astroturf.

As center fielder stormed back and forth from left to right fields, still maintaining his death grip on his 'catch,' he temper-tantrumed at length about how the rules didn't apply in this case and that the emotion of the moment was a more definitive measure relevant to judgment of the play. Meanwhile, the Red Queens runner pretty much waltz into home plate.

Of course, the White Knights coach challenged the decision, the MLB honchos gathered in their special review boxes and conferred with their muckety-mucks while video of the misbegotten catch looped on the Jumbo Tron, but the call stood, and we're on to Game Four with the Red Knights up in the series 2 to 1.
I would really enjoy having this whole series decoded. In private, if you must. My curiosity is killing me.

In Game Four, the White Knights have had difficulty producing the rally that would be needed to reverse their fortunes. While at the plate, half the game has passed with nothing but foul balls, strikeouts and pop-up flies. In inning 4 they produced nearly-universal expressions of disbelief by suddenly demanding that the game be changed from hardball to softball (obviously, a non-starter, but the Red Queens coach offered to participate in a follow-up exhibition World Series using softballs).

The White Knights pitchers have also been beleaguered in this 4th game of the series, seeming to learn nothing as they faced Red Queens batters, resulting in the 5th inning being a repeat of the 2nd: single, double and then a bunt, resulting in 2 runs per inning. Score now 0-4.

Yes, until next season! I just want them to beat the Indians. (I won’t say Guardians, that is as bad with what they did to the Redskins).
Absolutely! I likewise want to see my Cowboys sweep the deadskins.

EDIT: Funny how no one complains that the name "Cowboys" is offensive to all Cowboys!

As a former liberal, I can promise you that, at least since 1970 there has never been a shortage of white people offended on behalf of Native Americans that the Dallas team is named the Cowboys (assumption that it triggers Indians, er, I mean, Natives).

The Red Queens expanded their lead with a double that knocked the bunter into home. In subsequent innings the White Knights got on base a couple times, but by the 7th-inning stretch their frustration levels got the best of them, and one was caught on a hot mic throwing out unsubstantiated allegations. In the middle of the 8th inning the score remains 0-5.

Looks like, unless the White Knights start demonstrating proactive skills rather than reactive emotional outbursts, the Red Queens will go into the next game with a shot of winning the Series without even having to take it back to their home turf.

Time for new thread about White Knights. This isn't random posting about anything.

Feel free to start it.
Seems pretty random to me! I'm comfortable with it being here for now. If the saga becomes too high a portion of the thread I might pull all the relevent posts out into a new thread entitled "baseball commentary" or something, which would make it easier to follow but I see no reason to at present. Carry on Keith.

Game Four ended as expected.

Game Five got started just long enough to be temporarily suspended for an extended rain delay. Tough day for the White Knights fans.

So, they found some blobs in their scans that they don't understand. So they went back to their philosophy (that earth was formed over eons of time through natural processes, and the moon was formed from earth in a collision with another body), and picked something out of that philosophy to align with the blobs (the remains of whatever hypothetical thing hit the earth to form the moon). With a different philosophy - such as that of Genesis - you'd come to a different conclusion.

This is where you have to carefully distinguish scientific data (real) from the conclusions of scientists (subject to human presuppositions so can be erroneous).
