Just a 7 hour drive. Sounds like fun.
She has been a lurker for a year and a half now. She didn't tell me until January that she was on here, though, and I would have never guessed by looking at her username.
It’s a bit long of a drive for us, 1,700 miles.

17 hr drive. Long but possible. Not goin' that far for cold and snowy though. It's cold enough here. Lol

Depending on the timing, I would be very grateful for you and yours coordinating a gathering in Cody! Actually, let me put that differently: I would be very grateful no matter whether I could attend or not; attending would be the only thing dependent on timing. It's a long drive from Texas, but it would be a great opportunity to car pool with some other fellow Texans!

Hmmmmm, we just bought a van, and it might be an opportunity to get to know a certain young lady, who could be, err ummm will be eligible for marriage in a couple of years.

Well I have concluded that sex really does get better with practice.
Just letting you guys know that those with fantasies of being middle-aged men who start brand new families with young virgins are barking up the wrong tree where either of my daughters are concerned. One is entirely uninterested in polygamy despite being supportive of my pursuit and having attended many gatherings with me. The other just maybe would consider being a sister wife -- but not when the sister wives could be old enough to be her mother, and especially not when they're approaching the age of her father! She would probably be flattered by some of the attention, but she doesn't lack for that, and those who make moves better be equipped with metal jock straps.
As far as I'm concerned, both of my daughters are old enough to get married, and I wouldn't be shocked in either case if it happened in relatively short order, but they have decidedly different visions of marital bliss than those held by their father.
The younger one, though, who still lives with us, acknowledges that she needs a very strong leader for a husband and has commented in the past that some of the young men who are her age or somewhat older who are offspring of active Bib Fam members exemplify evidence of the type of strong patriarchal upbringing that she appreciates, so if any of you are fantasizing that your sons might end up with her, some possibility may exist in that regard.
