This points to a society that valued men above women, in which men had social and political power and women’s role was to serve men’s interests.
An interesting read. The writer seems to understand that the God spoken of in the Bible is a polygamous God by using the plural pronoun and referring to 'their "husband"'.
I have to try this beer.
You can't have just one....I have to try this beer.
I've lived in a society where women are valued above men; no thanks. God's way actually works.
It's disappointing so-called Bible scholars can't see that fact and therefore misrepresent God through their monogamy-only teaching.
Yes, that would certainly be the case with some as it is written in Rom. 1:18; they "suppress the truth in unrighteousness."Or maybe it is that they don't miss seeing it, but turn a purposeful blind eye to it.
Still, I think there are many who are like I was, just never studied the matter diligently for myself.
This one makes a good point. Men are naturally polygynous; you can't fight biology. If you force monogamy the result with be STDs, prostitution, abortions and bastard children (and the social ills thereof). But if you allow them polygyny you harness that biological urge in the creation of healthy families instead of social ills.
The comment; "Most people with the infection in this kingdom, are either bachelors and spinsters as well as couples in a monogamous marriage" is something governments and social legislators seem blind to!
