There is a good chance that it has two yokes. It does happen regularly.
We had a triple yoke this past week. Those are very rare.

Maybe that is where the whole, counting sheep to fall asleep, thing came from?

Yes, they are fine.
We are hand raising the lambs this year for several reasons. Less noise and stress at milking time. Lambs that cannot see mama in the milking parlor start crying....this means baa (baby) BAAH! (mama in your ear as you're milking) repeat endlessly until they are back together. Then too there is weaning stress later.....and milk snitched anytime they accidently get together. There is also all the little pigs disguised as lambs that figure out which ewes will tolerate snitching that try and nurse on everything. We have ewes that will feed their 6 to 8 month old lambs. The ewes also dont always let their milk down for us ....they hold it for the lambies.
This way no screaming at milking time. Weaning is as easy as stopping bottle feeding. Lambs can then go back with the flock and go out for grazing other places together. No lost milk from snitching. And the final plus is the lambs are super friendly and think we are mama. Next year when we steal their babies and milk them they will think we are their babies and LOVE being milked.
This works so well with the gubment and sheeple... I am employing the strategy on the farm. Intercept the produce chain......They think the goods come from you.
The cartoons always showed sheep jumping the fence as the trying to sleep whoever counted them. Trust me, that is NOT going to relax a shepherd! Our sheep escaping the pen means they are in the haystack or eating the garden or chewing up the fruit trees. It's the stuff nightmares are made of. Lol

I saw your post and thought I would comment. Not sure if it works with all animals or we have just been lucky but we have found over the last five years or so if we feed at or before 4pm daily we do not have late night babies 95% of the time. We do have those rare mommas (usually first timers) that will be nervy and not be able to settle down and still have babies at 11pm. Not sure if we fell into something all farmers need to know or we have just been very very blessed. Hope it helps.

Well, the second day there was one up on his feet when I went down there. Since he was up and "talking" there were three wannabe mamas that voiced their objections LOUDLY when I took that baby. They all wanted him.
We might do things different next year, or when we have more grass and better fences. This seems best for now.

Without having had any way to prevent those of others races from doing so themselves, white people have managed to create about 95% of the world's inventions, technological advances, medical advances and scientific advances. Including the very devices everyone else now seems to take for granted, like automobiles, airplanes, antibiotics, most mathematics, telephones, cell phones, smart phones, washing machines, typewriters, computers, etc., etc., etc. Everyone knows the name George Washington Carver, but it's predominantly because he's an exception within his race (and was opposed to race-baiting hustlers, too, by the way), but most everyone has no idea who invented most of the things we use every day that are far more impactful in our lives than peanut butter.
One of the main culprits for how these fools have gotten away with promoting multicultural diversity programs that foster white self-hatred is the fact that, on the whole, white people just step right into the bus lane and let themselves be run over, never defending their own race but instead apologizing for anything any white person ever did that was wrong, never standing up for the great contributions whites have made to modern civilization (U.S. Constitution, anyone?), and rarely if ever acknowledging the negative contributions 'people of color' made to such negative legacies as slavery (most of the slaves that came to America were sold into the slave trade by their fellow Africans of different tribes).
