Logical Fallacies Anti-Polys love to employ

So, strawman is where you make up an argument that your opponent has (but doesn't really) and then proceed to disprove it. Like if a monogamist said, "Polygamy supporters think it's ok because Jesus had 10 wives. But no where in the scriptures does it say He got married! He was single! Polygamy is sinful!" As a response to the parable of the virgins and oil lamps argument for polygamy.

lol and I would have answered "You better believe it!"

LOL What's wrong with sex? Is sex sinful? Did you get married to have sex? Ya, it's a ridiculous argument; only makes sense from a feminist anti-male sex perspective.

I had to deal with the old "You just want more sex" argument, the other day. Somewhat of an Ad Hominem, but I asked him what objections he had to a man having sex with his wife. More precisely, it is called the "Attacking the Motive" fallacy.

I point out that I can already have sex, because I'm married. While a single man looking for a wife cannot have sex yet. So who's more desperate for sex? Who's more likely to jump into marriage for that reason alone?
Obviously it's a silly argument anyway as there's nothing wrong with sex, as others have pointed out. But if it WAS wrong to think that way, then single men are in a lot more trouble than married men, as they're far more likely to have that on their mind.

Sex is one of the things that was “very good”... tell them to read Genesis 1 and 2 lol
Yup! I hope one day to have a second or third wife and to tell those anti-polys that I am having incredible, mind blowing sex with my wives, just to watch them get all worked up.

Yea ... I like sex ... a freaking lot ok!
I’m like, “Don’t you like sex?
Who doesn’t like sex? Wait... Are you saying more sex is sinfully badder then little amounts of sex? .. Show me Scriptural limitations on amounts of sex alowable to be had!?!”

That brings up the old, "You are just trying to justify your sinful behavior" claim, which we husbands deal with, and of course is presumptive, when they haven't even established that having sex with your wives is sinful.

Of course they would never use this one on our wives. Instead, they use the "No True Scotsman" fallacy, "No self-respecting woman would ever share her husband!" When you show them a woman who is willing to do so, then she must not be a self-respecting woman. She must be weak minded! Circular logic much?

This my friend is freaking hermeneutical boss status!

Don’t have time to make the meme, but:

“One does not simply sample the perils......”

How would you feel if your wife had another husband? (i.e. argument from emotion) We don't determine truth by how we feel about it.
One of the first questions my former pastor asked me when this discussion first came up was, “does your wife know about this, and how does she feel about it?”. Um... it’s a biblical truth, so I’m not sure what you’re getting at. o_O

In a moment of honesty, after you have completely shot their arguments to pieces, you will hear, "There isn't anything you can say that will convince me", or something to that effect. I told one of our church ministers that he was employing the "Willful Ignorance" Fallacy, when he told me that, the other day. It reminds me of the people in the Book of Acts who stuck their fingers in their ears, before they stoned Stephen to death.
