Biblical Families is not a dating website. It is a forum to discuss issues relating to marriage and the Bible, and to offer guidance and support, not to find a wife. Click here for more information.
Okay Ladies so this is on my heart. My hubby and I were talking and I want to write a book on Biblical Marriage using when of the Bible and from a woman’s perspective on the matter. I was wondering if women here would be willing to anonymously share testimonies for the book. The reason I am going with an anonymous sharing is I understand some women can’t be open with this due to job and other situations. I would love to hear other ladies takes on this idea.
People will argue if you give your opinion on the Bible. For example, I told my sis in law Boaz was probably married because there were young men working in his fields....and because Ruth was blessed when they married with the words "be fruitful like Rachel and Leah who together did build the house of Jacob." She accused me of "reaching" basically trying to put polygyny into the story where it wasn't.
There was nothing exempting married men from raising up seed inna deceased brother's name.....exactly what Boaz was doing!
.....in a nation that began from 12 brothers from four mothers!
WHO IN ALL ISRAEL WOULD HAVE HAD A PROBLEM WITH BOAZ TAKING ON ANOTHER WIFE???
NO ONE!!
The only people "MAKING" Boaz single are mono-only modern day women looking at the story with a "Church at rome" influenced perspective.....who "see it" the way they want to.
I would suggest you tell stories they cannot argue with. Those of women who are living this and blessed by it. ....and maybe that is already your plan and I didn't understand something?
That is a chapter in the Book as well as looking at the Historical and Cultural influences worldwide on polygyny and also looking at undoubted women in the Bible living it such as Leah and Rachel
