Summer Retreat and Family Conference, Aug 29 - Sept 2nd, 2024, SouthWest Missouri

I think it would be good if you ask the families for permission before posting photos. You could make a Summer Retreat 2018 photo thread for those who don't mind.
 
I don't feel as strongly as Julie, one family who used to be very concerned about pictures, is not around. I'd say start a separate Retreat 2018 pictures thread, post them there as separate posts, if anybody wants to complain to me, I'll delete individual pictures for them.

Good morning, I am unfortunately once again not going to be able to attend this year as I am starting a wonderful new job and won’t be past my 90 probationary period to take time off. I would like to sponsor a family or single wanting to attend. I won’t be able to foot the entire bill but I would like to help. I have been in touch with @julieb and she is aware of this. She will be the contact and the one who determines who the funds will go to. I would love to hear how the conference went for the recipient/s. I pray you all have a very blessed retreat.

I see that Biblical Families is having a retreat in Missouri during the Labor Day weekend. I am thinking about my wife and I attending. Is there more information about the event? We are not sure of what to expect. Where is the name of the hotel/cabin to make reservations? What is the name of the town it will be in? I’ve never been to one these retreats, what can I expect? Also, will there be events scheduled? Will it have speakers, workshops, etc? What will we be doing for the 3-4 days? Do we buy food there or bring food? Any restaurants in the area? What kind of clothes are to be worn? Is it casual or formal? Will there be an agenda we can see?

We're in Ohio. Is this retreat good for us or is there a retreat that would be closer? (new guy here haha)

Final retreat details just went out to those who are signed up to attend! Just FYI: we are looking at approx 125 with children, many new folks. It's not too late to join us in Missouri, but you need to ask for the info this weekend!
