Seriously, I pointed out that washing your hands was once very controversial and now it is accepted. And you're saying that a Real Scientist™ would never say that.

I was making the Real Point about what "science" actually is (as opposed to, "is not," as the WSM paints it.) "Accepted" is NOT the same as "proven."

And a Real Scientist probably wouldn't lick an icy metal pole in midwinter, or stick his tongue in a light socket...which proves nothing.

Yes, human minds are unreliable. I forget things all the time. I also understand things through the context of my own limited understanding.

Humans also take in words from God and then promptly ignore them. God told Moses to strike the rock once and he hit it twice.

Since we're speaking of Moses how do you think he would have described the computer you're using right now?

Interesting concept, but Dr. Walt Brown's book never asserts that the flood waters would have been high enough to cover Mt. Everest at its current elevation.

Moses ignored God, but it wasn't because he forgot what God said. He knew what God had told him, but he acted in anger and ultimately disobedience. If God had wanted Moses to describe a computer, Moses would have used a word that in our modern language, would be translated "computer". God would have given him the proper word to use, if He had desired for Moses to describe such a device.

OK, so the one I am using right now; first this is complete conjecture, which is something I personally loathe to do, but again, he would most likely described it in the most generic form, UNLESS God had wanted him to be specific about the computer's processing speed, make model, etc., in which case, he would have described it accordingly.

Good luck! I hope you find time to watch that Grand Canyon video. Nickels speaks in monotanous tones, but the graphical presentation is second to none. Also, I recommend you check out some Real Science Radio. Bob Enyart has gone on to be with the Lord, and he had his share of flaws, including his opposition to polygyny, but he had a lot of great content, and Denver Bible Church has carried on his legacy.

Scientists I have met often demonstrate a "curiosity killed the cat" mentality.

If God had wanted Moses to describe a computer, Moses would have used a word that in our modern language, would be translated "computer". God would have given him the proper word to use, if He had desired for Moses to describe such a device.

The word computer comes from an ancient language. Latin computo, to calculate, to reckon with. There will be a Hebrew equivalent.

The launch of Europa Clipper today was very inspiring. I know the best possible outcome would be that it finds the building blocks of life, still I hope they find space whales in the oceans of Europa. I mean, twice the volume of Earth's oceans, should be something interesting there.

In any case, should be some interesting pictures.

A part of me would love to do space science. I am not sure I have the patience though. They spent 10 years building the thing, and now it takes 5 years to travel to Europa... Well it has 1.8 billion miles to cover.
