Just as I spent hours earlier this week reading about upcoming plans on the part of the ruling class to entirely shut down the internet in order to halt communication channels for those who don't walk in lockstep with the major media and Big Tech.

anyone think local am radio stations will be able to help disperse information during this type of shutdown?
i've been wondering about this

Ham radios are what has been recommended

can they scramble the two way communications easier tho?
or maybe the opposite...
i wonder how old school land lines will fare as a communication method at that point

also, this brings to mind parts of the movie "how it ends"

"Land lines" for traditional phones right?

Interesting question
One nice thing with the Baofeng is that it can run on two different channels at the same time. You can broadcast and I receive on one channel, and then I broadcast and you receive on a different one. That seems like it would help a little. Of course the jamming is really referring to a different issue anyway.

If someone I'm intent on remaining in communication with inspires me to get up to speed on ham radio, I might be motivated to learn it. Ham radio operates on packet information, which is what led to the internet packet model. The technology to disrupt ham has existed since the 1990s.

My preparation includes encouraging everyone close to me to be prepared for a complete inability to communicate over long distances. I'll have a radio with me, but I won't be automatically trusting anything I hear on it. Unless the Deep State is predominantly dismantled and Big Tech is reined in, Big Tech will be facilitating the tyranny. At first, everyone will be going to Facebook to get their marching orders, which they will misidentify as 'news and information.'

The problem with two-way transmissions -- even on separate channels -- is that the technology is already in place to identify that it is going on. I'm not worried about being tracked if society remains fairly ordinary, but when totalitarianism takes over altogether, the very best strategy is being as invisible as possible.

So this will be their excuse: https://www.zerohedge.com/technolog...ernet-apocalypse-lasting-several-months-study

I haven't cross referenced the dates, but I remember seeing this video that seemed to be talking about the same thing.....but it had a different 'effect .'

We got a small taste of that during the 5-day freeze in Texas earlier this year. Phones still worked but only because the power shutdown wasn't universal.

If one watches the whole video, one has to wonder what the ruling class's plans will be for such an event.

Got the hamster wheel of an anxiety attack starting today. I'm going to take a couple of the kids and go for a long walk to hopefully just walk it off.

Wyoming isn't bad either!
One of my favorite states, and listed as even higher to the top of best places to live in America to avoid Wuhan Flu restrictions.

By the way, the cartoon (below) that I posted here yesterday is a blessing to me in a way that has nothing to do with the Great Reset or Wuhan Flu: one of my longest-standing pet peeves is the misuse of the phrase, "carrots and sticks," wherein people think it's a matter of either offering carrots (rewards) or sticks (punishments) to a horse or a person. The actual history of this phrase isn't even "carrots and sticks;" it's "carrot on a stick," which is what is demonstrated in the cartoon: it refers to offering a reward to an entity (mule or fool) that is positioned such that it will always remain out of reach but somehow manages to entire the mule or fool to continue performing in hopes of getting the elusive reward.

It gets more and more attractive every day to be living in Texas . . . https://www.zerohedge.com/political...ate-coalition-supporting-florida-ban-big-tech
Arizona is one of the states too.....but this from the article.

"The trade groups argued the law may violate the First Amendment by compelling social media platforms to host offensive speech they otherwise would not and by interfering with their editorial policies."

There is a MAJOR problem there. Fictional entities like corporations are not the same as people. A service like a social media platform should be a level playing field for all points of view.

I like the cartoon @Keith Martin! Ben Williams wrote a paper on rights....a government protection racket. You might like it!!
