Sounds like the judgement for Adam trying to pass the buck. YHWH made him accountable for all of it.
I agree with both of you, but there is also a practical consideration: whereas 80% of young women are choosing to have sex with 20% of the young men and consequently regularly have children out of wedlock, men are increasingly avoiding marriage. In 1990, in any given year, 20% of single men got married; now the figure is less than 3% with an over 50% failure rate driven by 80% of the failed marriages being abandoned by women, which only further fuels the disincentives for marriage. We're staring at the next 2-3 generations being dominated by over 90% of children being raised by single mothers, and we don't know how to prepare for the ensuing societal chaos other than for those with more traditional approaches slapping each other on the back for having 5x the average amount of children and raising them in intact households (an excellent impulse to follow, but we ignore the culture surrounding us at our peril). That's right. As it should be. Accountable for all from that point forward, including his woman's transgressions. Being the ruler is only a covetable position in feminists' wet dreams. A king's crown is heavy.
