Does this thread really need to be non-public?

I just wish that random people could enjoy it to the extent that it might be enjoyable.

No, it doesn't. I completely forgot someone had shifted it there. It's back on the public side again now.
We may have engaged in some rancorous discussions at some point?

Did a grocery shop yesterday. Just a small one, a top up shop before we go into the city and do a big one.
Prices of all groceries are up about 30%. Even the things on special, the sale price was about 30% more than what the original price used to be. I kept not buying things because I thought it was a bad deal, but then I realised I wasn't buying anything and I just had to suck it up and deal with the price things are now.

My husband has discovered the afternoon nap. I am afraid that life will never be the same!
It can mess up a girls day if it becomes naps with benefits.

Texas has now officially declared that the border crisis is an invasion, invoking the US constitution.
As far as I understand it, this means the federal government is required by the constitution to mobilise the national military to protect Texas from this invasion. What happens if an invasion is declared, but the federal government doesn't lift a finger to help?

Federals won't lift a finger because unlimited migration is real policy.

Texas can expect help from like minded states.

It is sign of breaking of America. States will obey Washinghton less and less.

I know - but failure to defend a state from invasion would be a fundamental breach of the union itself. And what happens then - practically, not philosophically? Anything?
I guess we're about to see.
But Texas can hardly pass on federal taxes if they're under invasion and the federal government isn't defending them, they'll need to divert those funds to the national guard.

Union will break if federals don't their act together. Such abuse can't last forever. I would say max one generation.

Already political action is moving towards states as protectors instead of trying to win federal level.

What we can't know is how breaking will come, but we know final state.
