Mexico Killings and LDS Reaction

You don't! I am still a part of that church. I was kicked out of leadership and the orchestra, but am still a regular, who brings his wife and kids every Sunday and kid's friends to church, as often as they are willing to go, which makes it hard for them to kick me out. In addition, wife is still not on board with poly, so they see her as a helpless woman who needs them to convince her husband that he is wrong.

I don't hate Mormons! I hate false teaching, regardless of where it comes from! I have met many myself, and I agree that they are very nice, family focused, at least until you start questioning their teachings, which they will kick you out for as well.

God has already sorted it out in a collection of writings that we call the Bible, which they believe has errors in it. I ascribe to the inerrancy and infallibility of the original manuscripts, and the fidelity of the transliterations. While they believe that the Bible is true, they hold the belief that it has more translation errors in it, than is warranted. I would LOVE to embrace Mormonism, as it would make polygamy SO MUCH easier to embrace and get my family to accept, but I would have to embrace lies that I know go against the Word of God! I CANNOT embrace the concept of God having once been a man, and likewise one day we will be a god, nor would I ever want to do that, as I would most likely end up sacrificing my son for the world that I one day would rule. I could go on.

Oh that's right you get to stay in a place that denies the truth of God (kinda like Mormons) as long as you keep you mouth shut about it.

And I would encourage any Mormon or Jehovah's Witness to do the same as long as they can still have influence within their congregations. No one has told me what I can or cannot say off premise, so to correct your post, I have been asked to refrain from talking about polygamy, while on the church property. I wasn't sure whether to agree to that, or not, when that demand first came out, but the overwhelming response from fellow BFers, was to go along with that demand, because I had planted the seed. As a result of my decision to go along with it, I have had MANY opportunities to speak one on one with quite a few of the people there, and persuade some of them of the truth they would have never heard from the pulpit, and to plant even more seeds where I haven't quite persuaded others. A Mormon or JW who has done what I have done, would have gotten booted out a long time ago, simply for disagreeing with their church, even if done in the privacy of their own home! Sure! I could have told the leadership that I was intent on running my mouth, and been booted out, but what would that have accomplished? Oh! and the truth that my church is in error about, has more to do with integrity, and is not a matter of eternal salvation.

Same reason you plant seeds where you are is the same reason I'll interact with Mormons. I don't judge them, I'll share what I know and they share what they know, in the end we walk together as long as we agree. But as far as this false belief they are suppose to have, I haven't personally seem it. Might be there and I have come across some really shady characters and they fooled me but that's on them not me. I do what I am told, love my neighbor.

Love rejoices in the truth. You will find those beliefs that are incompatible with the Christian faith, when you have Mormon missionaries in your home. Not only that, but every practicing/faithful Mormon ascribes to the unique rituals of the church. I also find it sad that they do not believe in hell. They are like the JWs in that they believe that we are all God's children, only they believe so, in a more literal sense. Anyway, their beliefs about Scripture, are quite troubling to say the least. My church's errors, pale in comparison. The only one of those beliefs that I have been restricted from talking about, is specifically polygamy. I have not been asked to be silent about patriarchy, and the husband's role of leadership in his home.

So far as that article I posted is concerned, I find it interesting how the LDS church is always trying to distance themselves from those splinter groups, precisely because of the stance those groups take on polygamy, and yet the mainstream Mormon church has no choice but to defend the polygamy that occurred in their history. I always take them to their own Scriptures, which call polygamy, an abomination.

You posted an article about a family that got shot up. Relax my friend. Or are you saying that the reasons I they were ambushed and killed was because of their belief?

You sure do push a lot of things.

Yes, That was in the news recently. No, what I am saying has nothing to do with WHY they got shot. I thought the article was interesting, because of the fact that the mainstream LDS church is trying to make it clear that they have nothing to do with this sect. We all KNOW the reason why drug cartels shoot up people that get in their way.

The more likely reason would need to be posted on the Tin Foil Hat thread.

HA! CIA, yeah! With the NSA and the Deep State exposed, I think we can all take off those tin foil hats!

HA! They haven’t begun to be exposed.

Speaking of snowflakes, looks like the snowflakes finally got their wish!
