Me personally I think we should keep it clean. I DON'T want my wife to see this kind of stuff, it is bad enough we see this in the world.

The bad thing is... that is how it is sometimes.
Mine would be less than the grocery bag, even for a longer trip.
In the military we always said, 'travel light, freeze at night.'Mine would be less than the grocery bag, even for a longer trip.
I literally thought, 'Hey! Great idea. We need to freeze dry tacos!'Finally decided to start preparing for the Apocalypse

Sounds like you compliment each other well!! That's wonderful.I toss into a small duffel and I’m ready to go.
My husband, on the other hand, has his backpack of clothes then another backpack of stuff for ‘just in case this or that’. The ‘just in case’ always comes in handy and I’m forever thankful my husband is wise enough to foresee potential occurrences.
lol. @LovesDogs…maybe more like this:@primrose This is how you looking at me when i'm talking to you about the ex lol

My suv IS my backpack. Tools, air mattress, dried food, blankets, jackets, water bottles, etc. Yes all in the same place. Pew pew is the last item to grab.Sounds like you compliment each other well!! That's wonderful.
I guess I wasn't thinking about Sukkot / camping. I DO pack more for that, but have a list in my journal and keep all my things in the same place to make it as easy as possible. But traveling ... I pack carefully, but minimally.
Does all that stuff sit in there permanently? We can't leave food in vehicles, we get rats and mice in there. We currently have rat bait tied up above the engine of the car as they seemed to be congregating there. It's already been replaced once.My suv IS my backpack. You bait them in? That might be your problem right thereDoes all that stuff sit in there permanently? We can't leave food in vehicles, we get rats and mice in there. We had the same problem with rats and mice in our SUV but once we'd poisoned them, it was all good. We then put semi permanent bait stations around the outside of the house and buildings and haven't had any further problems.Does all that stuff sit in there permanently? No, they prefer our chimneys lol. We also previously had two nesting boxes up and they used those. This year we've taken them down though as they weren't in a great place, and we haven't put them back up again. The other problem is starlings building nests on the warm engine. It happens every spring. Do you get that?
