The Pearl's also explained that training can be done without spanking for people that work in child care. It is the concepts of consistency and NOT rewarding bad behavior ....but encouraging right behavior and attitude that really does the trick.

It’s been a long time since I’ve even had to sink a child. The culture has taken hold and they’ve learned by osmosis.

I think you have a typo there. I know what you mean though. Respectful older children/adults goes a long way. Their good example is priceless!
