Ok, so there are 12 lost tribes. This makes sense since there is no reference to ten lost tribes in the New Testament Scriptures.Because a large portion of the house of Judah ALSO went with the ten tribes to Assyria.

I've heard it said that there is no reference to polygyny in the 'New' Testament, either. Both statements are wrong. (The "lost sheep" of beit Israel are mentioned twice in Matthew, for example. At minimum, it's a "Venn Diagram" that overlaps.)Ok, so there are 12 lost tribes. This makes sense since there is no reference to ten lost tribes in the New Testament Scriptures.
But 12 tribes are referenced, 10 are not.I've heard it said that there is no reference to polygyny in the 'New' Testament, either. Both statements are wrong. (The "lost sheep" of beit Israel are mentioned twice in Matthew, for example. At minimum, it's a "Venn Diagram" that overlaps.)
The twelve tribes are mentioned over and over and OVER again throughout Scripture; they are the basis of 'kol Israel.'But 12 tribes are referenced, 10 are not.
It appears that some of us who believe similarly, have some key differences in our understanding as well. I believe that the House of Israel is the ten northern tribes. When Yeshua came to earth in a mortal body, he came to save the House of Israel. She was the nation that he had divorced and she did not have a way to come back into covenant with him. EVERYONE else on earth, had a way to be in covenant with him.The twelve tribes are mentioned over and over and OVER again throughout Scripture; they are the basis of 'kol Israel.'
They just aren't always the same twelve...
Soooo… no non-hebrews in the kingdom? It appears that some of us who believe similarly, have some key differences in our understanding as well. The concept of adoption was demonstrated coming out of Egypt. So, the House of Judah simply needed to straighten up their act and repent. Those that were not of the descendants of Jacob, would need to come seeking to be grafted into his people.
So, for the House of Israel, he had to die to break the bond of the law that says that a woman who has been divorced and has married herself unto another may never come back and marry her former husband. Our Messiah wrapped himself in mortal flesh so that he could die knowing full well that the law also states that death breaks a marital bond. This means even this bond of a former husband. When he rose from the grave, he was an eligible bachelor. The new covenant is promised to us BECAUSE, the former marital covenant was broken by his death.
Whether we are descendants of the ten northern or the 2 southern, matters very little for our salvation sake. If we want to be in covenant with him, then we must be grafted into Israel. You don't need to worry about what house you would become a part of, Yah will sort us out and he won't need a sorting hat to do it!
