But Jesus wasn’t changing laws necessarily. His sermons readjusted thinking about those laws back to original intents and prevention of abuse.

Really not sure. Not the first time I have been told it by peoole theoretically qualified to judge. I did get a bit curious though after that encounter and did some reading on the topic. Lots of the traits do map onto me pretty squarely but...
