So,

I saw a documentary on Women's suffrage and was doing a little extra research online (I am information junke! This can be a problem at times!). Anyway I type in "votes for women" and the phrase is completed in google as "votes for women, chastity for men" apparently this was a first wave feminist goal: "The exercise by men of sexual-self control and the political power of women" according to Margaret Jackson (1850-1940). Alchohol was also another big issue that political women were fighting due to all the drunk wife beaters that were rampant at the time-too bad they failed there! Anyway another link pooped up in the advert section of google for "male chastity products"!! Oh my goodness if you all read the intro and description of why they are selling this stuff you will fall out of your chairs! This is feminist "christianity" taken to it's logical conclusion. Mark, you are going to have a field day with this one! Someone please tell me this is a gag website and that I am naive!! OUCH! Can u imagine if the guy has a car accident wearing this thing? never mind the torn underwear your mama worried about!

Here is their "romance tips for men" page, not bad but sounds like the opposite of that 1950's ad that Nathan posted:

Ok I'm adding this after I thought a bit! Maybe this is totaly not PG and needs to include a warning: Don't let your kids be around when you open this ridiculous website!

I wish I could say this was even remotely a surprise, Maria. :o
Especially the history.

(And, whether things are intended as a joke or not, people laugh because there is truth, or at least belief hidden in there. As Heinlein said, we laugh "because it hurts".)

Color me cynical, perhaps...but this is unfortunately EXACTLY what the Bible has always pointed to with respect to worship of 'another god' (or goddess, as it happens). But don't feel bad; all of us are always at least initially upset to see just how ugly the truth about various idols has always been.

Blessings,
Mark
