Wife Stealers

That really is terrible, and it is worrying to wonder who he could be talking about. Disgusting behaviour. "What God has put together, let not man separate" - it really goes against the entire philosophy behind biblical plural marriage.

Yes. I contacted the author in my Official Moderator role.

He very much appreciated the contact, and said that his comments were definitely NOT directed at BF, but at individuals who use an organization such as ours as an access point to troll for women. Especially in this manner.

If we could inoculate ourselves against such, we would. Unfortunately, there are unprincipled crazies in the poly world, just like in the mono.

Sadly, there are many instances of adultery/wife stealing in the "Monogamous" Christian world... people who disregard how the Bible calls us to live, regardless of whether they purport to subscribe to the Christian lifestyle. I suppose it would be silly of me to think that those who have come to the knowledge of PM would be necessarily holier than other believers.

I guess I never really thought about this aspect so much, but it makes sense when you consider all the other abuses taking place under the guise of "Biblical Marriage" such as clandestine relationships, temporary relationships with no recourse, etc...

It saddens my heart that we ( humans, and believers especially ) treat one another in these ways.
 
That makes me angry and sad, and unfortunately not surprised that people would use sites like this as a gateway to destroy themselves and others. :(
 
This is not a mormon ministry right? Not that bears much on the topic at hand. I'm non denominational myself buy I stick to the OT & NT

i agree with all that has been said here, but let us never buy into the legalism that, no matter the level of abuse, she cannot leave.

i am talking about real abuse here, not: "i just do not feel like he loves me anymore".
