This is sad...but somehow makes the point anyway

This really is a bit sad, because it somehow (without really mentioning the Bible, or anything related to marriage, much less polygyny, at all) tells a story that the author certainly never intended:

A society which makes 'sex' the focus misses out on the blessing, and ultimately even on the sex:

I guess that's why it's really no surprise that the Bible keeps reminding us that those who seek to do something without seeking Him first seem to lose their way.

The "elephant in the room" should be obvious - at least here on BF. No doubt there are many women (and men, too, of course, but the focus of this article was on the females) who eventually quit looking because they don't understand His rules...and end up looking in the wrong places.

Blessings,
Mark

Yeah, its the undervaluing of sex that creates this problem. Its not important enough to respect its sanctity and its not important enough to prioritize when its due. Put it together and sex is meaningless to them and their relationships will crumble because of it.

I heard from a psychologist many years ago that sex is 5% of a good marriage (icing on the cake) and 95% of a bad marriage (the only thing holding it together.)
