Biblical Families is not a dating website. It is a forum to discuss issues relating to marriage and the Bible, and to offer guidance and support, not to find a wife. Click here for more information.
Different tribe, with there own "clans" (not what we call them), with a few different customs, but yes there my cousins. I'm Rusjara (tribe), Rradalife (kumpenia) we hold tight to our traditions, where some Roma are becoming looser in accepting the world. Strangely American Roma hold tighter to their traditions and our shared traditions than the old world Roma but more open to marriage outside the kumpenia.
Very interesting! Thanks for sharing Shibboleth.
Hey @Kevin did you catch the social worker's last name? The guy was Gancho, Iliev ... last name sounds a whole lot like Slavik for "Elijah".
I liked how the youth bow their heads and it looks like they kiss the hands of their elders? This is a bit similar to a charming Filipino custom where some children take your hand and touch it to their forehead to show respect (not all regions).
Sux the "Nationalist Motorcycle Gang" blocked access to the market; the more I think Roma are a lost tribe(s) the more I see our common enemies coming to bear. Even the people were worried the gang would attack the bride market so they had to leave. Unbelievable this goes on in Europe today (the racism / threats).
I like how they guard their women's virginity and don't give a darn what the outside world has to say.
