Proverbs 14:1

@LukeS is almost certainly correct about this referring to wise, but the literal translations properly translate it as, "Women's wisdom." As in, a woman uses collective women's wisdom to build her house but only in foolishness pulls it apart with her own hands. The key concept is in the first two words ("A" is added to the Hebrew), as it points to the necessity for older women to properly treat the younger women how to be wives. The "wise women" teach that a woman's proper purpose is to build her house, not to tear it down.

The proverb contrasts the one whose actions are constructive with the one whose actions are distructive. The wise woman/wife will be an asset to her house; constructive, beneficial, in contrast to the foolish who will not and whose actions will tear it apart.

It's a simple comparison contrasting two types of women in their households and the outcome of their activities.

I see many divorces....and lots of destruction wrought by unhappy wives.

Real love builds other people up. Real love grows secure happy children. Real love builds families and relationships in a community.

Love never fails.

My parents used to sing a song called Always. When my Dad divorced my mom....I realized that to some degree his vows were a lie....and so was the claim to love.
No one is perfect, but love covers a multitude of sins.

I believe a wise woman will take seriously the instruction in the Bible directed to wives.
I know I can do better....most of us can.

Best analogy for marriage I have heard...

When married, to say that your partner has a problem is to say "Your end of the boat is sinking."

No one can succeed at marriage alone.....

PERIOD!
