I know we have a bunch of people in the PNW, time to get together again. (Last time was Oregon, 2019, before that Idaho in 2013.). Looking forward to meeting a bunch of new people, and seeing some old friends.

Hotels tend to be more expensive out there, if anyone has a line on a campground/retreat center type location that might be a little cheaper, please drop me a DM.

If you want to be on the list to the details when they are ready, go ahead and email us now: retreats@biblicalfamilies.org (and mention PNW).

I've spent time in Washington, and for the record I highly recommend the western side of the mountains. Even better is at the coast. The place is incredibly beautiful, and so easy to go a few hours each way and see amazing things.
WELL worth going north to Blaine at the border, and don't forget Deception Pass.
The list of amazingness does not end, I don't think. :)

I love all that part of Washington (esp Deception Pass!, and Olympic NP), but in WA, hotel price and accessibility from a major airport will need to be a factor. We won't go to Seattle proper, but I'd say Burlington to the north, and the stretch of I-5 south of Tacoma are in the mix. But near Vancouver (WA) has some reasonable prices, and is near Mt St Helens, and Portland airport. At first glance Spokane hotel prices seem more than I-5 prices, but we need to negotiate.

Are there many people attending this retreat? This may be the closest one to me. However it might be to close to the BIG summer retreat and I would really like to once again, try and go to that one. I will be following for more details

I lived in small town of Port Angeles, Washington. North Western part of the state. One can take fairy ( 1 hour) to Victoria British Columbia (if we will still be friends with Canada then). Beautiful area.

Trying to nail this location in next few days. Still torn, but look at this (non-public) map of locations of forum signups (if you used a legit zip code, you are on here.) For those in driving range, perhaps south of Olympia makes sense. But I know we will have some driving from Idaho - would it be worth it to be somewhere central, like Yakima? Feel free to DM me your opinions.

Wow! That’s a lot of people. I know distance are longer out there and those people could still be 5 hours away from each other but surely that should be a well attended retreat!

It is BEAUTIFUL country, Natalya (daughter) and I are flying back to Portland on the 27th to see Kayla, our daughter, and my pa-inlaw is going to drive from the Seattle, WA area to meet us in Portland and then we will drive him back home to Missouri. Yakama is very beautiful country, it all is. Since this retreat is going to be in May, plan for rain, pray for sunshine, there is a reason why it is called the Evergreen State.

Plan for rain, pray for sunshine?? Where is your faith, man?! JK I know what you mean.

Please note that the date for this retreat has changed: May 16-18th, and we will be southeast of Yakima, WA in a nice hotel! That's 2 more weeks for you to make your plans, and for the weather to improve - should be glorious mid-May in that area.

This is roughly equal distance from Seattle, Portland and Spokane, and farther, but less than 5 hours, from Boise.

If you should be flying in, you can pick any one of those airports, but you'll probably need a rental car! If you are flying into Seattle, maybe you can hitch-hike - hold a Biblical Families sign, real big, and maybe I'll pick you up.
