Nuts and Bolts: Persecution, Fear, and Outing

I have been following the legal drama of “Sister Wives” and wether or not there will be a prosecution. I have also started watching “Big Love” which I really like and is good drama, at least in the first season so far. This raises a big question in my mind:

Do you live in fear of persecution and/or prosecution for living in PM relationship.

I know that perfect love casts out all fear, etc. So please do not give that answer.

Many of us have lost church membership and/or family relationships, even spouses, just for BELIEVING in PM. Government? pfffth!

Having watched this business since '97 or so, I've not seen the government truly go after anyone who was being above board all around -- no under-age wives, no welfare fraud, etc.

If they truly DO go after the folks on Sister Wives, I fully expect that it will be with the understanding that it is time to get the issue resolved, with the expectation that the existing laws will be struck down. The Supreme Court has already commented favoraly towards the issue over a decade ago.

So ... no fear for speaking up, though even that is illegal in some states. And no expectation of fear if another wife chooses to join our family and share the popcorn!
