I don't know where else to post this. Admins feel free to move it to another section.
Well the church that we have been attending, held its annual National Day of Prayer service. It would have been held on the courtyard in Georgetown city square, but was moved to a church nearby, because of the bad weather. I came in and sat down unwittingly next to the pastor. I shook his hand. We prayed prayers of adoration and confession, and then prayers along the lines of prayer for our government, our churches, our families, our mi.... wait.... when we prayed for our families, you know how the Holy Spirit gives us words to pray when we do not know what to say, well I prayed for unmarried ladies in the prayer group that the pastor was sitting in, and God brought to mind how they are under reproach, the seven women who are clinging to one man, and I prayed that they would not marry ungodly men; this is all out loud. I kind of ran out of things to say for a moment, because I didn't want to be too overt, but the pastor knows my position on marriage. We had enough time in our prayer group during that segment for another go round, and I prayed that our husbands would love their wives as Christ loves the church, and that our wives would submit to their husbands in everything, even as the church submits to Christ.
We prayed for our military, and education and one other thing that I cannot recall. When we prayed for our churches, I prayed, again out loud, in the prayer group that the pastor was a part of, for churches that are teaching false doctrines that run counter to God's Word. I couldn't help but think that the pastor had to be wondering how I could pray something of this sort.
