My son

:-)

New Member
My son who was 16 weeks old this past Friday had a fever all day today; it started last night.

This evening a doctor checked him and suspects malaria.

He was given something to reduce the fever and will be taken to a pediatrician tomorrow to test for malaria.

Any and all prayers would be appreciated.

certainly, I will remember your son
May Yahweh's healing hand be on him, and his will be done.

smiley, we will certainly be praying for him, and for a good report and quick recovery - please keep us informed.

God bless, Nathan

Thanks, ^_^ and Nathan; I appreciate your prayers.

The suspicion of malaria was confirmed yesterday. That's the bad news.

The good news is that the degree of infection is set at "scanty" which means that, although there were parasites in his blood, there are not "many" of them. My wife will be sending me a copy of the report today.

The medicine has been prescribed (4 different ones!) and treatment started. In about a week the treatment will be finished, and there was no requirement for a follow-up ... which seems rather non-chalant to me ... but I have been told and read that the doctors there have a great deal of experience with the treatment of malaria.

My wife told me he has had no more fever since Sunday and is showing no signs of discomfort - other than from the heat there.

Thanks again and God bless you.

That's great news. I'm glad I'm not a Christian Scientist, as I believe modern medicine is a gift from God, via the use of the intelligence He gave us. Our 9 year old would be gone from this world several times by now, if not for the advances of the last 50 years.

Let us know if anything changes.

"smiles",
Sorry to read the first report but PRAISE Yahweh that the case is not too severe and that the meds will do the trick. Will keep y'all in my and Chaplains Rose's prayers.

Just wanted to give an update.

My son and wife are now with me; now I can better care for them.

Praise the Lord!

Thanks for all your prayers!

J
