I ought to link this over at the Marriage and Family Forum. Our Bible Study class has been supplanted by a new one the church is calling "He Said, She Said, God Said". It is the same leadership, but has generated a lot of interest and we had a full room yesterday. They announced that we will be going through the book "His Needs, Her Needs", and they played a video clip, which instantly alerted my "Balderdash" detector. I even raised the question, "How many studies have been done on the methods this guy teaches?" The leaders mentioned the criticism that the book is void of any Biblical basis, which I found disturbing, but they assured us that they are going to find Biblical basis. OK, if I wasn't skeptical enough to begin with, I really felt the need to investigate. Here is a link I found that gives a pretty sound critique of the book:

The author of this critique does seem to think that adultery can be committed with a woman who does not have a current, future, or former husband, who is still living. I posted a comment at the bottom, pointing out that this is not a Biblical understanding of adultery, but overall, I thought that the review was great! I am excited to have this opportunity to dispel false beliefs regarding marriage, in my church. As far as I know, the leader of our former Bible Study class, never did follow up on our one-on-one discussion and conduct the research that he said that he would have to do. I shall hold his feet to the fire on that, if he objects to what I have to say.
