Doctrine Of Devils: Forbidding To Marry

Ok, I admit to being a little slow. After all, I've been involved with the Biblical Family & PM movement for 13 or 14 years, and the following just hit me this morning!

The doxctrines of devils includes forbiding to marry.. That's nothing new.

But we usually identify the "who" (is being forbidden) as being a man forbidden to marry more than one.

But here's the thing -- no-one forbids the man to marry ONCE. So he is allowed, even under monogamist doctrine, to be in a marriage/covenant man/woman relationship, and thus in line with the Divine Proclamation in Genesis 2 that "it is NOT GOOD for man(kind) to be alone."

So who is forbidden? :? :o WOMEN!!!

Women end up being forbidden to marry a man whom they can and do respect, and who is appropriate (i.e. a believer, equally yoked, etc.) because he is already married!

True, some women DO marry. But they live in fear of losing their husband's love and regard and relationship, and then being among those who are alone and forbidden to marry because "all the good men are taken".

And "the rest" of women? Those who aren't IN a marriage relationship? Who look around them and reach the aforementioned out conclusion? FORBIDDEN by this doctrine of devils.

Satan's first lie was aimed at women, deceiving them (well, "her") to the race's hurt. Sounds like he hasn't changed his tactics. Up to us to expose the lie!

Cecil, were you scrubbing the floors this morning? That sounds like the kind of epiphany I get when I'm scrubbing floors, or some other kind of deep cleaning. Not that it wasn't profound, of course-- because I do believe you may have hit on a vital truth there.

Nope, Froggie. I don't DO floors. I do WINDOWS!

But not sure just what I was doing when that one hit. Probably while arguing with my Mom, who informed me Thu night that PM was sin, according to the 10 commandments, and wasn't too happy to hear that TWO of the ten actually SUPPORT it!

Of course, this was only the umpteenth Biblical explanation, one of which ended with "It can't be right or our church would already teach it." and another with "who are YOU to put your opinions up against all the Bible Scholars in the church?!"

This week, I got in trouble for remarks overheard last Sabbath at church, as I explained to a young man and his girlfriend what BibFam was. (They seemed interested. But some anonymous coward, who wouldn't speak to my face, complained...) When the head elder and I chatted, it finally came down to "It may BE Biblical, I don't know. But it isn't in our church." Told him the reason I attend his church is because they have taught me since childhood to accept the Bible above tradition. He shrugged, speechless! But left it there.

Roman Catholics forbid people Priests from marrying.

Also governments forbid some people from marrying even one person.

Also some people castrated their slaves even though their slaves did not want to be castrated effectively forbidding them from marrying in a sense.
