My husband & I just found out that a young woman, who we had considered as a potential sw at one point in time, has been abducted.
The information that is available from the witnesses to the abductors is making the law enforcment suggest that she was taken by human traffickers with possible links to the russian mafia (They have a growing presence in Oklahoma with the growing number of casinos and the horrible poverty in the rural areas.)
The extremely heartsinking reality is that this woman is now in human bondage, either in the USA in the prostitution rings or has been exported to brothels or for private "ownership". Either way it is highly unlikely she will ever be seen again.
Please pray that God will hear her cries, ease her pains, and meet her needs - just like He did with Hagar, Abraham's concubine.
She is a very kind, generous young woman and the main reason we did not continue to consider her as a canidate for sw is because she was so young. She had just turned 18, but she looked much younger. We felt it would be unkind to take advantage of a young woman who if she thought there was another option but to "find a man to care for her" She would. We now realize that God gave us an oportunity to help a young woman who was in horrible poverty with no hope and we turned our backs on her.
Please pray for her!
