For those of you who are archeology enthusiasts and live close enough, the Cyrus cylinder is going on tour around the U.S. This cylinder records the decree by king Cyrus of Persia (Ezra & Nehemiah) allowing all former captives of the empire to return to their ancestral homelands, particularly the Jews who are given incentive to return and rebuild their temple. This is great! Thanks for the heads up.

Opportunities like this will probably be the only way that the family and I can see anything from that era or area. Just too bad we have to wait till the end of the year. Besides, I haven't been to the Getty since High School.
