BIBLICAL FAMILIES RADIO RETURNS 9/13/09 9pm EASTERN!

Doc,
Is there a way to find out how many listened? Also, I had questions regarding listening to it live. I had difficulties with this until I opened my Windows Media Player. You might give more detailed instructions for listening live?

Just wondering.

Good points. I have also noticed something which is quite bizarre...

If I open the player even just a couple of minutes early, it seems to start OK, and sounds like the new program has started early.

And yet if I RE-START it a few minutes later, AFTER the top of the hour - suddenly I'm hearing something different; apparently the real, live show.

It seems that a previously-recorded version is on-tap for those who check in even a bit early, but the other program is then NOT interrupted or reset by the live feed when that one comes up. It's actually difficult to tell what one is hearing, and which program is the current "real" one. (I have yet to hear the "top of the show", in other words. A date stamp, or something like "coming to you LIVE on September XXX" would probably help, at least if we hear it. ;) )

Any help - or technical correction at the server end, if that is the issue - would be welcome.

Thanks,

Mark

To both your questions: Yes, I know how many listened live directly from the web-page player: 34

And yes, the player defaults to a previous show until the show is live. I think what I will do is insert a pre-recorded 2 minute intro, allowing folks to tune in a bit later without missing content.

The downloads of the shows have been encouraging. Right now we have had over 230 downloads of shows.
