I was thinking that the drop in birthrates had to do with anti family teachings that have gone out since Margaret Sanger. As well as feminism.
It was mentioned several times in this forum that biblically speaking, woman are property.

This is true. It got worse after both world wars. During the Vietnam War the S.C.U.M. manifesto was produced. Which suggested that the world would be better without men in it at all. Rachel Wilson's book "Occult Feminism" backs alot of this up.

It is true that women were purchased. They were never not under the covering of a man. Weather it be their father or their husbands.
The strong and independent thing would have been considered disgraceful. In ancient times if a woman went out on her own she could have been picked up by a slave trader and forced into some sort if service. Usually sexual in nature if she was responsibly attractive. Which is why a good covering was necessary. Fathers typically want a good life for their daughters.
I know that most prostitutes are not a $1000.00 per hour. Many sell nudes for a few dollars a month on "Only Fans." Not all of them are street walkers looking for John's either. Only a few of them blow up to making millions.
It is still not Biblical order of things. The best scenario for women and children is to be in a family with a man follows the word of God.
