General Meeting and experiencing Jesus

My heart has been heavy lately, so I decided to fast and pray this morning. Over the years of my walk with God I’ve come to appreciate Him as my Rock, the one I turn to when the nausea and weariness hit from walking on shifting sand and waves.
The YouTube videos have been flying fast and thick lately, some of the comments have been tough to read as it’s feels like watching family fight.
One that stuck out to me was someone accusing us of being obsessed with the poly subject, and wishing that we were just as passionate about the gospel. While Plural Marriage IS the focus of this ministry, and many here seem called to speak out with the truth of it, the Person of Jesus,(Greek), or Yashua,(Hebrew), is the beginning and the end of all this.
One of my favorite things to ask follow believers is how the meet Christ, and what he has done in their lives since. I always walk away encouraged and praising the one who works in each of us uniquely.

I believed in Jesus as my Savior at a young age. My father was a Southern Baptist minister and during one service at the age of 7 years old, I remember being drawn by the spirit to go down to the front and receive Him into my heart. I was so happy about it all that I would sing a lot about it...my sister didn't think that was so great and kept telling me to be quiet. :-) As I got older, I grew in spiritual maturity but probably didn't really fully understand my faith and what it meant to me until coming to the knowledge of Biblical plural marriage. We each have our own road to travel regarding faith; I am thankful I was on that road at a young age and with the support of my family, not all of us have that.

I was also blessed to grow up in a believing family, although I realized as a teen that to really follow God I was going to have to step out on my own and not just do what I saw people in the church doing. That owning my faith from an early age was definitely pivotal for me.
